Fourth Grade Estuary Explorers Program
Fourth Grade Estuary Explorers Program Includes:

  • Curriculum development
  • Teacher training
  • Pre-trip activities in class
  • Post-trip activities in class
  • Evaluation
  • Pre/post test
  • Teacher program evaluation with free membership in FORB

Participation in this program requires teachers to be certified as Field Trip Specialists with the Collier County Public School District.

This manual was designed for use by middle or high school teachers to introduce students to the function and structure of estuarine ecosystems. It was written to conform to the Sunshine State Standards. Feel free to use these materials and provide credit to Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
